Goals of Student Ministry

To foster and nurture a personal relationship between students and God.

Inspired by Colossians 1:9-12, we pray that students might be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; walking in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.

To love each student unconditionally.

Reflecting the teachings found in Matthew 7:1-5, which cautions against judgment, and John 4:7-12, where Jesus exemplifies love by engaging with the Samaritan woman, and showing that love transcends social barriers. This unconditional love aims to create a safe, accepting environment where every student feels valued.

To implement a comprehensive discipleship track.

This includes detailed teaching and training programs for students. Drawing from Ephesians 4:12-15, the aim is to equip God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, becoming mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

To provide numerous opportunities for students to actively live out their faith.

Inspired by Ephesians 2:10, which states we are created in Christ Jesus for good works, and John 15:15-20, where Jesus calls His disciples friends, not servants, and encourages them to bear fruit that will last. This includes service projects, mission trips, and everyday acts of kindness that reflect their faith.

To extend our reach into the community with the message of the Gospel.

Fulfilling the Great Commission as stated in Matthew 28:18-20, where Jesus commands to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that He has commanded.

To ensure there is joy and enjoyment in the journey of faith.

Embracing the wisdom of Ecclesiastes 3:12,13; 8:15, which speaks to there being a time for everything, including a time to laugh and to enjoy the fruits of one’s labor. This goal underscores the importance of fun activities, retreats, and social events that build community and make the learning and spiritual growth process delightful.
