Family of Faith has a range of ages and life stages – mostly married but some not, many with kids ranging in ages up to middle school, and some with no children or just having their first. All ages and life stages are welcome!
Teaching time is very discussion-focused, giving members opportunities to participate frequently. We stick to the Scripture and chat a lot about what it looks like to live out our beliefs as we walk through the lessons.
We have family-focused outings like sledding, going to the apple orchard, picnics, kayaking, potlucks after church, or going to Shamineau Family Camp every August. Sometimes we do light service projects the Building and Grounds team needs (especially when an army of small hands can be put to use). There are men’s and women’s Bible study small groups that meet outside of the normal Sunday morning time.
For us, it’s become our “family of faith.” This is the group we call to help raise a deck, cut up some trees, watch our kids, set up a meal train, or ask for prayer. This is the group we do life with.
